Top Rank has put together a UniMas televised doubleheader on October 11 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. In the main event, undefeated welterweight contender Jessie Vargas (22-0, 9KOs) will take on battle-tested veteran Ray Narh (26-3, 21KOs). The co-feature will see red hot super bantamweight prospect Jessie Magdaleno (16-0, 12KOs) face Raul Hidalgo (19-9, 14KOs).

Bob Carpenter Center, Newark, Delaware - In a fight for the vacant USBA welterweight title, Ray Robinson (17-2, 7 KOs) stopped Ray Nahr (26-3, 21 KOs) in the seventh round. Robinson dropped Narh twice and then finished him off with a barrage of punches. Robinson now wins his fifth in a row since suffering back to back defeats to Shawn Porter and Brad Solomon. Narh returned from a two-year layoff in June and shocked Ronald Cruz with an unexpected decision win, but now drops his second defeat in his last three fights.

INTERNATIONAL BOXING FEDERATION AFRICA (IBF/AFRICA) – DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA - You can easily liken her with a PIII student or a fresh model who happen to put on gloves but, there is more to this affably pretty and shy Kenyan boxing star Sarah Ochieng than you can chew. To start with, she is known as the defender of the underprivileged in her area and she takes no cue from anybody who want to undermine those close to her. The beautiful paid ranked slugger known for her hard hitting ferocity punches. Her fury in the ring is not easily contained.

Sampson Boxing chief Sampson Lewkowicz says he and his promotional partner, Carlos Gonzalez of Best Boxing, are happy and proud of the building excitement in Panama for their blockbuster return to the beautiful Megapolis Convention Center in the Hard Rock Hotel in Panama City, Panama, on Saturday, August 10, entitled "LAS VEGAS IN PANAMA II". The entire country has boxing fever in advance of their three-world-championship headlined by the return of superb Panamanian WBA Bantamweight Super Champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (33-2-1, 12 KOs) making the eleventh defense of his 118-lb belt against Colombian southpaw William Urina (24-2, 20 KOs) in a 12-round duel.

Ray Narh, coming off a two-year layoff, simply outworked the listless Ronald Cruz, who avg'd just 40 punches thrown per round. Narh threw as many jabs as Cruz did total punches.

It was two years since Ray Narh’s last fight and even longer since he ever came close to living up to his ‘Emperor’ nickname. The Ghana-born, Bronx-based boxer certainly looked like royalty on Friday evening, however, in easily turning back the challenge of once promising prospect Ronald Cruz. Narh picked up his first win in 27 months, doing so in hostile territory in dominating Cruz in his opponent’s hometown of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Cruz was coming off of the first defeat of his career, anxious to resume his winning ways and remain a fixture on the NBC Sports Network Fight Night series. The opportunity was there for Cruz to shine; he was fighting at home, on his promoter’s (Main Events) show and against an opponent whose own travel issues disallowed him to even arrive in town in time for Wednesday’s pre-fight press conference.

In the opening bout of the telecast, Ray Narh pulled off a major upset with a surprisingly dominant points win over house favorite Ronald Cruz. Scores were 100-90, 98-92 and 96-94.

Both land above weight class avg. for power punches. Narh much busier with the jab. He'll need that stick to hold off Cruz, who needs to get close to be effective. 70% of Cruz's thrown punches are power shots.
