Ray Beltran Eyes The Winner of Vazquez vs. Gesta Clash

By Ryan Burton

BoxingScene.com caught up with Steven Feder shortly after his fighter Raymundo Beltran (27-6) thrilling unanimous decision victory over Ji-Hoon Kim in their ESPN2 televised fight.

Beltran is currently a promotional free agent but according to Feder will likely continue to work with Top Rank and Jimmy Burchfield. Top Rank promoted Thursday night's card that Beltran appeared in.

"I want to thank Top Rank, especially (Vice President) Carl Moretti, and Jimmy Burchfield for getting Raymundo on this card.  We look to continue working with them," Feder told BoxingScene.com.

Beltran also spoke to BoxingScene and said that before his victory over Kim he was told that a win over the Korean would put him in serious contention to face the winner of Saturday's fight between IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez and unbeaten Filipino Mercito Gesta.

"Before this fight they said if I win I could fight the Vazquez-Gesta winner. I just want to fight for a title. I'm not in a position to be picky. I will fight any champion," Beltran revealed.
