Randy Guerrero, the younger brother of WBC interim-welterweight champion Robert Guerrero, is scheduled to make his pro debut on September 8th at the Oracle in Oakland, California. The HBO televised main event will feature Chad Dawson challenging Andre Ward for the WBC/WBA super middleweight titles.
I've just been focusing in, training, sparring with different guys, and preparing for this fight and for whatever is on the table, Randy told the Gilroy Dispatch. I'm ready to get into the game and do my thing. There's a little bit (of pressure) having a father who is a trainer and a brother who is a world champion. Expectations can be great. But I have to be ready at all times and give it everything I have.
The four round bout will be scheduled to take place at 124-pounds. The 20-year-old boxer started his amateur career at age 15, but his record in the unpaid ranks is not clear.
