Ramiro Will Be Part of The Mayweather-Canelo Tour

By Rick Reeno

BoxingScene.com has been advised that Ramiro "El Dinero" Gonzalez, the pound-for-pound king of purse bids, will join the eleven city tour to promote the mega-match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, taking place on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Ramiro will be accessible to the fans. Fans will get a chance to take photos with Ramiro, obtain autographs and even rub the actual lucky charm that he carries to the purse bids. Select cities will also have fan functions where hundreds of fans will get the opportunity to recite some of Ramiro's ceremonial prayers, which he whispers prior to his participation in a purse bid.

"The tour just got even bigger. The Mayweather-Canelo press tour was already huge, but the addition of Ramiro makes it even more special," said Golden Boy matchmaker Robert Diaz.

Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer would not reveal which upcoming purse bids will be handled by Ramiro.

"I'm still working on that. I don't like to reveal things before they are done. Next week I plan to sit down with Ramiro and Oscar and we'll discuss it," Schaefer said.
