| Rakhim Chakhkiev is Planning To Come Back in October
|
|
By Alexey Sukachev According to numerous reports in Russian and German media outlets, dangerous Russian hard-hitter Rakhim Chakhkiev (14-0, 11 KOs) is rumored to be returning to the ring in October against an opponent to be named. Most probably Chakhkievs next fight will take place in Berlin, Germany. Chakhkiev, 29, is a 2008 Beijing heavyweight gold medalist. He turned pro in 2009 and was being nursed as a pro by fading Universum Box-Promotion. Rakhim, who is ranked #5 by the WBC, #13 by the IBF and #14 by the WBA at 200lb, and holds the WBC Baltic cruiserweight title, is 3-0 this year, outpointing Alexander Kotlobay in convincing fashion and stopping Americans Jaidon Condrington and Zack Page inside the distance. He last fought in May and defeated tough-as-nails Page via TKO 6. Tags: Rakhim Chakhkiev |
For 14 pro fights he's been moved quite well. Him being with the career killing black hole of boxing that is Universum does concern me though. I would pick him to win over Wlodarczyk or Hernandez if they fought tommorrow.

Unless it's a live body who presents a challenge then it really itsn't that noteworthy
Watching him beat up on journeymen has lost it's luster and is getting repetitive
