According to numerous reports in Russian and German media outlets, dangerous Russian hard-hitter Rakhim Chakhkiev (14-0, 11 KOs) is rumored to be returning to the ring in October against an opponent to be named. Most probably Chakhkiev’s next fight will take place in Berlin, Germany.

Chakhkiev, 29, is a 2008 Beijing heavyweight gold medalist. He turned pro in 2009 and was being nursed as a pro by fading Universum Box-Promotion. Rakhim, who is ranked #5 by the WBC, #13 by the IBF and #14 by the WBA at 200lb, and holds the WBC Baltic cruiserweight title, is 3-0 this year, outpointing Alexander Kotlobay in convincing fashion and stopping Americans Jaidon Condrington and Zack Page inside the distance. He last fought in May and defeated tough-as-nails Page via TKO 6.
