WBC #1 cruiserweight Rakhim Chakhkiev has found a late replacement opponent for May 30 at the Luzhniki Arena in Moscow, Russia. Chakhkiev (18-1, 14 KOs) was scheduled to take on previously undefeated WBC #9 Ghanaian Braimah Kamoko (26-0, 20 KOs) on the undercard of Alexander Povetkin's bout against Manuel Charr. Kamoko suffered a hand injury in camp and was forced to withdraw.
The 2008 Olympic gold medal winner will now face Santander Silgado (25-1, 20KOs), who previously came to Russia in 2012 and saw himself get stopped by Denis Lebedev in four rounds. He won two fights since, both by knockout - including a two round destruction of Steve Herelius.
