Radivoje Kalajdzic-Otis Griffin Set For October 18th

TAMPA, FL: A longtime fixture in the Florida boxing scene, promoter Ivan Echevarria is proud to announce that his new venture, Pier 6 Promotions, will be holding its inaugural boxing event on Friday October 18 at the Tampa Doubletree Hilton Hotel. Two title fights, and the best in national and local talent will be featured. The Main Event features rising undefeated St. Pete light heavyweight Radivoje "Hot Rod" Kalajdzic, as he takes his toughest test yet vs. Otis "Triple OG" Griffin in a 12 round IBU World Title fight. Local fight fans may remember Griffin being on the losing end of a highly disputed majority decision vs. Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy at the USF Sun Dome in 2009.

The evening's Co-Main Event features the return of Sarasota fan favorite Aaron "The Jedi" Jaco. Aaron, one-half of the "Team Jaco" brothers, returns to action in Tampa for the first time in 2 years.

Also featured on the card is an IBU World Title bout featuring light welterweight female Lisa Garland. The remainder of the card showcases St. Pete female undefeated sensation Noemi "La Rebelde" Bosques, Paulie Simpson, Jean Colon de Jesus, the professional debut of Jared White, and 3 additional bouts to be announced.

Doors open at 7:00pm, and the action starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are on sale now, and are priced at $25 General Admission, $35 Reserved Seating, and $75-$100 VIP Table Seating. VIP food & beverage packages are also available by calling Pier 6 Promotions at 813-309-9991. More information is also available at www.pier6promotions.com
