Rachel Donaire Injured While Saving a Drowing Kid

Rachel Donaire, the wife of “The Filipino Flash” Nonito Donaire who is expecting their first born on July 21 has been admitted into hospital after injuring herself while saving a kid from drowning.

Nonito Donaire informed the Manila Standard that his wife was admitted into hospital for “fetal monitoring.”

Donaire recounted that during the 4th of July celebrations a friend’s son disappeared underneath the water and Rachel “didn’t hesitate to jump in after him but injured herself in the process.”

Nonito said she “moved so quickly it scared me.”

He said Rachel woke up with sharp pain and was admitted into hospital where she was monitored for over an hour and “diagnosed with a strained ligament.”
Doctors said the baby was unaffected while Rachel was ordered to have bed rest for a couple of days.
