Trainer Roger Mayweather sat down with select members of the press to discuss Saturday's fight between his nephew, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz. The fight takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, on HBO paty-per-view. Roger discusses Mayweather-Ortiz, and a possible fight between his nephew and Manny Pacquiao. Obviously Roger brings up the subject of Pacquiao having to subject himself to a random Olympic style drug testing protocol.

On Whether Mayweather Can Take Ortiz's Power

I haven't seen him knocked out, so he must have a good chin. He fought from 130 to 154. He fought some of the best punchers in the sport and he fought some of the best fighters in the sport. He hasn't been knocked out. He finds ways to win. That's smart boxing. You find ways to win and that's why they call him the world's best fighter. All of the guys that hit my nephew, and hurt him, what did they do after that? You saw what happened.

On Whether Mayweather Wants To Fight Pacquiao

Why wouldn't my nephew want to fight Pacquiao? My nephew has never been knocked out. All he got to do is take the test. If he takes the test, he's going to get his ass whooped like the rest of the 41. Any fighter who calls himself a fighter in a world wide sport of this nature, he would take the test. I would take the test. Any fighter would take the test. If he has nothing to hide he would take that test. If he has something to hide, then he doesn't take that test. I'll tell you this, if he takes that test he's going to get his ass whooped.

On Whether Pacquiao Would Be an Easy Fight

It sure will [be]. Can you find the last two guys that knocked him out? Where are they at? They are probably not even in boxing anymore. All of a sudden he becomes of boxing's elite superstars. How the hell that happen?  He's been knocked out twice and all of a sudden he becomes one of boxing's superstars.

On Trainer Freddie Roach Teaching Pacquiao New Skills.

Freddie Roach ain't train sh*t. He can't fight his own self. I used to whoop his ass, so I know he can't fight. It ain't about Freddie Roach fighting anyway. It's about what Pacquiao has in him. He would have got his ass whooped a long time ago if he would have taken that test. All he has to do is take that test and prove me wrong. If he takes that test, then he could do whatever he wants.
