The war of words continues between WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and trainer Robert Garcia. They started slinging harsh words during the second stop of their five city press tour, in Washington DC, and things didn't end there. They continued having words during the tour stop in Chicago.
On September 13th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Garcia's fighter, Marcos Maidana, gets a second crack at Mayweather. The unbeaten boxer made a crack about Garcia losing to the late Diego Corrales, who Mayweather dominated and stopped. The comment struck a nerve with Garcia.
“I retired 12 years ago, and I heard you talking about me and my fights. I know that you are going to bring up my fight with [Diego] Corrales –I have nothing to be ashamed of. I lost to a warrior. He was a great champion and I lost that fight with honor, not like a bitch," Garcia said. "If I fought like a bitch and acted like a bitch I’d still be undefeated. Floyd fights like a bitch and behaves like a bitch."
