Top lightweight contender Marvin Quintero is still waiting for a confirmed date to face IBF champion Miguel Vasquez. The Tijuana native has been staying busy by serving as a sparring partner to undefeated junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (28-0, 12KOs), who continues to train in California for a scheduled fight with WBO welterweight champ Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38KOs) on June 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Quintero (25-3, 21 KOs) doesn't fight in the same style as Pacquioa, but his southpaw attacks are providing a necessary service to Bradley.
"We are taking the most from this experience of being next to an undefeated champion on the level of Bradley. I'm trying to be helpful in any way possible, in addition to the education that I'm receiving. I climb into the ring with him every day and I can assure you that he will give Pacquiao a lot more trouble in their fight than people think ... I think that he can win and make history," Quintero said.
