| Quintana: After Latimore, I Want Canelo-Mosley Winner
|
|
By Ryan Burton MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Former welterweight champion Carlos "El Indio" Quintana (28-3, 22KOs) was brimming with confidence when he stepped up to the dais at the Canelo Alvarez-Shane Mosley final press conference. Quintana said that he has trained hard for the fight and that he will upset his opponent, juniot middleweight Deandre Latimore (23-3, 17KOs). "I have worked hard to get ready for this fight. I know I don't have a lot of time left in the sport so I need to win now and I will come out with a win," said the fighter of Puerto Rican descent. Quintana already has one eye looking towards the future. He said that he respects both Alvarez and Mosley and that he wants a crack at the winner of their fight. "Mosley is a legend in the sport. Canelo is also a great fighter. I respect both of them and after I win my fight I want to fight the winner of their fight," a confident Quintana revealed. Quintana-Latimore opens up the Floyd Mayweather-Miguel Cotto HBO pay-per-view on Saturday night at the MGM Grand. [QUOTE=MurkaMan]Latimore aint a bum anymore...He used to have that busted up azz shoulder roll, but look at what Jeff did to him...accuracy, great movement, picks his punches, and versitile movement, opposed to rocking his shoulders trying to be Floyd...I know he got knocked down in his last figh... |
