WBA 'regular' super bantamweight champion Scott Quigg (29-0-2, 22KOs) is blaming Barry McGuigan for the issues in making a highly anticipated unification with IBF champion Carl Frampton (19-0, 13KOs). Now that both boxers have world titles in the same weight division, the steam has erupted as fans are demanding the two of them face each other in a unification.

Frampton was at one time promoted by Eddie Hearn of Matchroom, who handles Quigg. Frampton's career is now being handled by McGuigan and Frank Warren.

Quigg told talkSPORT - "I want the fight, Carl wants the fight, Eddie wants the fight. "The only obstacle not making this fight possible is Barry's ego. He thinks he runs the show but he doesn't. That's the only problem."

"It won't be next because apparently Carl's got a bad hand so he can't fight until next year. So I'm looking to get one more fight in this year. Hopefully next year it sets up a big fight with me and Carl."
