Purdy vs. Jones Card: Barker, Rees, Conner, More

Matchroom's 'Christmas Cracker' bill on December 15 will feature Lee Purdy v Carson Jones plus the return of Darren Barker and Gavin Rees.

Purdy will take on the American for the IBF international belt vacated by Kell Brook after he beat Jones on a majority decision in July.

The 12-fight card at the Olympia will also see feature British and European lightweight champion Rees alongside former WBC middleweight title challenger Barker, who returns from an arm injury.

"This is our Christmas present to fight fans that come to the shows and watch live on Sky Sports," said Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn.

"We've put together a fantastic card for the Olympia, with Purdy's clash with Jones bound to be a corker, Rees in with a top class domestic foe, Barker returning with a tough test and a whole host of young talent eager to impress - our last night of 2012 promises to be one not to miss."

Opponents for Rees and Barker will be announced on Monday, while Erick Ochieng defends his English light-middleweight strap against an as-yet unnamed foe.

Southern Area light-welterweight champ Danny Connor and Chris Evangelou re-match following their thriller at Alexandra Palace, while popular Londoner John Ryder will also be action again.
