Pulev vs. Chisora Purse Bid Sent Back To 8/20 Date

By Per Ake Persson

Yesterday the EBU announced that the purse bid date for Kubrat Pulev vs Dereck Chisora had been postponed from August 20 to August 27.

However, that was done without checking with what is described as "the other side" and after a protest the date is now again August 20 at noon.

Pulev, the reigning EBU heavyweight champ, fights a final IBF eliminator August 24 against Tony Thompson while Chisora, the mandatory challenger, take on an opponent to be announced September 21.

Is the IBF petrified of allowing Pulev to go up against Wladimir - what's their game exactly?
