Earlier today, Kubrat Pulev relinquished the EBU heavyweight title to concentrate on his world title ambitions and the upcoming fight against Tony Thompson on August 24 in Schwerin. There was to have been purse bids tomorrow in Rome for Pulev vs Dereck Chisora (17-4, 11KOs) but of course that is now off.
 
Stepping in as co-challenger is no other than Sauerland Event´s latest signing: undefeated Russian Denis Boytsov (33-0, 26KOs). As of this moment, there is no date set for purse bids but lets keep in mind this fight features a promotional battle between Sauerland Event and Frank Warren Promotions, so there is a lot at stake in this matchup.
