Although he suffered a bad cut in his last fight DeMarcus Corley on December 5th in Russia, it still appears that junior welterweight contender Ruslan Provodnikov (20-1, 13KOs) is going forward with a planned bout against former champion Julio Diaz (38-7, 25KOs) on January 27th at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. The bout is going to be televised by ESPN as part of their Friday Night Fights series.
