Banner Promotions CEO Artie Pellulo recently confirmed BoxingScene.com's report that Ruslan Provodnikov will return to the ring on November 28th in his native land of Russia. The former WBO champion hasn't fought at home in over tree years and said that he is very excited to have the opportunity.
Provodnikov gained a lot of notoriety last year both in the US and Russia with his knockout victory over Mike Alvarado to capture his first world title and his previous fight which was an exciting points loss to Tim Bradley in which Provodnikov floored Bradley twice. He said that he plans on providing the same entertainment for his countrymen at home.
"I'm very happy that I will be fighting in my home country. I know how long my fans have been waiting for this, and I really wanted to present my fans with this opportunity. I expect over 10,000 people to come and support me in this fight from all over Russia," Provodnikov told BoxingScene.com.
