Proksa Stops Varga, Sets Full Focus on Hope Rematch

By Luke Furman

Toto Gym, Budapest, Germany - Former EBU super middleweight champion Grzegorz Proksa (27-1, 20KOs) stayed busy with a third round stoppage of Rudolf Varga. Proksa now moves forward with a July 7th rematch against Kerry Hope (17-3, 1KOs) at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.

On March 17th, Proksa lost an upset majority decision to Hope. The Polish boxer was cut badly above his left eye in the second round, from an accidental head clash, and couldn't see for most of the fight.
I under staying busy, but Varga only had 2 pro fights. What's the point? He would get better practice from sparring.
Proksa had to win the fight before facing EBU champion. It's required by EBU rules.
