Price: Thompson Will Realize I'm Just as Good as Wladimir

“He’s probably thinking this will be a walk in the park to fighting Wladimir Klitschko,” said heavyweight contender Davd Price at Wednesday’s pre-fight press conference for his showdown with two-time world title challenger Tony “The Tger” Thompson in Liverpool . “But I want to make him realize that I’ve got as much ability to be every bit as good as Wladimir Klitshcko.” Price and Thompson collide Saturday at the Echo Arena in a pivotal heavyweight matchup that will be televised live starting at 2:30PM ET/11:30AM PT by Wealth TV and streamed live on WealthTV.com.

2008 Olympic medalist Price (15-0, 13 KOs) further stated that speed will be the difference in the fight. “My speed holds the key on Saturday night.” He’s facing his biggest test to date against Thompson (36-3, 24 KOs), whose only losses over the past decade have been to world champion Wladimir Klitschko. Both men are large heavyweights with Price standing 6’8 and Thompson 6’5. Wednesday’s press conference was their first meeting.
