Povetkin vs Rahman Likely on Tentative Date of Sept. 22

By Rick Reeno

BoxingScene.com has been advised that the heavyweight clash between WBA "regular" champion Alexander Povetkin (24-0-, 16KOs) and mandatory challenger Hasim Rahman will head to a tentative date of September 22 in Germany. The fight was previously scheduled for July 14, but Rahman suffered a minor wrist injury and withdrew from the fight.

Rahman (50-7-2, 41KOs) told BoxingScene that he expects to return to the gym in two weeks time.

getting sick of Povetkin how long can he keep the regular WBA belt without getting stripped? doesn't he have to fight Wlad soon or get it taken away?

i know i'm the only one who wants to see this fight but i was hoping not to wait until september. i want to see povetkin take a real heavyweight punch. he has never fought a HW with one punch…

I can't wait! Finally I'll get a good night's sleep without the need for pills.
