Povetkin vs Huck Can Fight on February 25, Says Hrynov

By Alexey Sukachev

Vladimir Hrynov, who acts as Alexander Povetkin’s chief manager, acknowledged that the WBA heavyweight champion of the world (23-0, 16 KOs) could fight WBO cruiserweight king Marco Huck (34-1, 25 KOs) on February 25 in Germany.

“Sasha will most probably fight next on February 25 in Germany against Marco Huck. This fight is currently being negotiated inside of Sauerland Event [who promote Povetkin and Huck]. We won't rush in brainlessly but we shall carefully weigh all of our options. I’m sure everything will be fine, judges included”, commented Hryunov to “Sport-Express” media.

As for Denis Lebedev (23-1, 17 KOs), the WBA's interim-cruiserweight champion, he could fight next against the WBA's full champion Guillermo Jones.

“This fight is being discussed”, said Hryunov. “We are currently negotiating with Team Jones about such a possibility”.

Povetkin vs. Huck is a good matchup and would be an entertaining fight. But doesn't Povetkin have to fight Rahman now?

Make it happen, I'm looking forward to the German media rooting for Huck all over and then see him destroyed by Povetkin. It will also be a good name on Povetkin's resume.
