Russian promoter Andrei Ryabinsky has given praise to Tyson Fury for last month's huge upset decision win over Wladimir Klitschko. Fury boxed to a twelve round unanimous decision to capture the WBA/WBO/IBO/IBF world titles in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Ryabinsky promotes WBC number one ranked contender Alexander Povetkin, who faces World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Povetkin will be ringside when Wilder defends his WBC title against Artur Szpilka on January 16th at the Barclays Center in Brookyn, New York.

"I believe Tyson Fury was good. He lost [a lot of weight],  and because of that he became very fast. You can review the fight. He is still clumsy, but moves well and fast on his feet. He fought a good fight and presented a lot of danger for Klitschko. He stayed away from stading in front [of Klitschko] which took away the Ukrainian's jab, which he never got off with," Ryabinsky told Championot.

The businessman turned promoter rejected some of overseas rumors going around that Klitschko bet a large portion of funds on himself and then took a dive to collect. The rumors began when some let bets, for large sums of money, came down on Fury as the fight neared. Klitschko's performance created questions when he put out his lowest punch output among his championship fights.

"I think that is nonsense. I cannot imagine Wladimir betting against himself. He is not a poor man, he gets good money," Ryabinsky said.

Klitschko will have a rematch with Fury in the next few months. He exercised a rematch clause in their fight agreement and now it's come down to selecting a date and location.
