The team of Russian heavyweight Alexander Povetkin will hold a press-conference in Moscow on May 12. They promise to tell the truth about the negotiations with the IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and about their request to have the champion go through an Olympic-style drug test.

The managing Director of  Sauerland Even,t Christian Meyer, and Povetkin’s manager Wladimir Hryunov will take part in the conference, as well as the director of the Anti-doping Center, who is expert of chemical science Grigoriy Rodchenkov and the president of the Russian Boxing Federation Victor Ageev. Rodchenkov will offer his solution to the doping-control issue before a potential Klitschko-Povetkin.

“The main problem for any boxer who is going to fight Klitschko is that they are highly valued by televions, they are on a wave of success and they dictate the terms”, - said Povetkin’s trainer Teddy Atlas to BoxingScene.com. – “They choose the most convenient opponents and shape situations in their favor. The only way to have control over some issues is to have this fight in Russia”.

Anyone with common knowledge would know that a big man like wlad would not be able to take inhancement for all these years and still be healthy and agile the way he is. Does anyone know the damage thi...

LOL, at Atlas trying to take credit for improving Povetkin too. Povetkin was already talented before Atlas even met him. Povetkin would have destroyed Mora without Atlas's help. That Mora fellow wasn't even in Povetkin's league. I think Povetkin would have beat him even in his pro-debut.
I blame Povetkin, he choose that asshole Atlas as a trainer. If Povetkin doesn't want to be associated with mediocre trainers like Atlas he should have went for another train like a mayweather or roach. The only reason he choose Atlas is because the other trainers already ha...
Hateful old Teddy Atlas is trying to discredit the Klitschkos. :nonono: It won't work, Wlad will take the tests.
...and real man would.
I thought i read that Povetkin has a contract clause that says he has to get tested for every fight and now he wants KLitschko to join him in the test? i dont get what Atlas is talking about. Anyways Povetkin will get destroyed bu Klitschko either way but i dont see Wlad giving...
