| Povetkin Denies That He's Running From a Klitschko Fight
|
|
By Ruslan Chikov WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (24-0, 16KOs) has denied some of the recently published comments on the internet, where the Klitschko brothers have claimed that he's running from a potential fight. Povetkin is waiting for a new date for his mandatory fight with former WBC champion Hasim Rahman. Once the mandatory obligation is out of the way, he wants to fight either Klitschko, but he expects to come face to face with younger brother, IBO/WBA/WBO/IBF champion Wladimir, before a fight with Vitali. "I am ready to meet with the Klitschko brothers at any time. I do not like all of this talk, I prefer to leave [the discissions to] the ring. I have always said that I want to fight the best. I am the interim-champion of the WBA. Wladimir Klitschko is the absolute champion. There are [WBA] rules regarding defenses, and according to them I'm ensured that [Wladimir] will have to take part in a title fight with me," said Povetkin Tags: Wladimir Klitschko , Vitali Klitschko , Alexander Povetkin |

You don't like at a division from it's 'top 2'
especially since the god damn top 2 don't fight each other.

Povetkin's not running from Wlad -- he's walking real fast in the other direction. |

Still no news for his "title defense" against Rahman or someone else?
Tic tac tic tac... Sooner or later, he 'll have to face Wlad or be stripped. |

He knows Wlad will knock his little ass out. He might call out Wlad when Wlad is like 40 something :nonono: |

[QUOTE=Der_Ubermensch]I think out of Pulev, Boytsov, Price, Haye (if he decides to quit playing games), Fury, Mago, Mitchell and Wilder, a least a couple of those guys will do something big in the division.
I thought Huck rather handily beat Povetkin and don't rate Povetkin highly at all.
