Porter Welcomes Fight With Juan Manuel Marquez

By Miguel Rivera

As was recently reported on BoxingScene.com, Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-2, 40KOs) is very interested in facing the winner of Saturday's fight between IBF champion Shawn Porter and mandatory challenger Kell Brook.

Marquez, 40-years-old, will be ringside for Porter-Brook at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. The former four division champion will be working the corner of Daniel Estrada, who challenges WBC lightweight champion Omar Figueroa on the card.

Porter (24-0-1, 15KOs), who believes he will put on a spectacular performance on Saturday, would love to face Marquez.

"I have no problem [fighting] Marquez. It would be an honor, and I think it would be a great fight. He's a fighter who comes forward and so do I, so it would be fantastic for the fans," Porter said.
