(LOS ANGELES) - Adrien Broner and Shawn Porter will be in an Ohio state of mind on June 20.

It may seem rather odd Broner and Porter will not be fighting in front of their family and friends in their home state, but boxing will still get an intriguing bout between two fighters who will be fighting for more than just bragging rights.

Broner and Porter will square off in a 144-pound catchweight bout on June 20 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev. The 12 round bout will be broadcast live on NBC, beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET/ 5:30 p.m. PT.

Broner and Porter are coming off of wins in March. Broner easily defeated John Molina on March 7th, while Porter stopped Erick Bone six days later.

Prior to stopping Bone, Porter (25-1-1, 16 KOs) suffered the first loss of his pro career in August of last year at the hands of Kell Brook. While he is open to a rematch, Porter is focused on Broner.

"He's slick and fast," Porter told an assembled media at a press conference on Wednesday. "He's got it all. He's going to do some things that night that will make you say that this fight is better than (Manny) Pacquiao and (Floyd) Mayweather. Camp has been great. (I'm) loving it. Every part of it. This is peak-week. (We're) coming up on the last few days. Putting on the final touches. It's been an awesome camp. Life has been great for us and I'm looking forward to June 20."

Broner has won his last three bouts since the one-sided loss to Marcos Maidana in Demember of 2013. Never one to be subtle in previous press conferences, weigh-ins, or even on social media, Broner said there was no need to say or tout anything negative towards Porter or his father/ trainer Kenny.

But Broner, a former world titleholder in three weight classes, is never one to mince words, believing he is the reason why fight fans will tune in on June 20.

"I'm one of the biggest names in boxing," said the 25-year-old Broner. "This is a big fight because Adrien Broner is on the card. No disrespect to Shawn Porter. No disrespect to Kenny Porter. They're friends of mine. I like them. I love them. I love to watch them fight, but at the end of the day, I'm coming to win. I'm going to win."

"This is actually a fight where I don't have to talk trash about Kenny or Shawn. (There is) no bad blood. We're both from Ohio. We grew up in the amateurs together. We watched each other's careers. We've even been in the ring before. It's just a business."

Broner is right. On fight night, any friendship or camaraderie Broner and Porter have with one another ail be thrown out the window.

Broner-Porter could be described as a crossroads bout considering the winner could have a slim possibility of fighting Floyd Mayweather on September 12, or a bout later this year against Kell Brook or Keith Thurman.

While he has not fought the opposition Broner has faced in his pro career, Porter believes he is capable of getting the win and enjoying the rewards of what the 'Premier Boxing Champions' trademark has to offer.

"(This) is one of the most anticipated fights that I could remember for a long time. This is an exciting time for Team Porter. I've been looking forward to this fight since it was announced. It's a big, exciting time for boxing."

"I'm very pleased and honored to be a part of it."
