IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter (24-0-1, 15KOs) is very excited to face mandatory challenger Kell Brook (32-0, 22KOs) on a date in early August, reportedly as the main event of a Showtime televised tripleheader from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
This will be Porter's second defense of the title after knocking out former two division champion Paulie Malignaggi on April 19th at the DC Armory.
"It's supposed to be me and Kell Brook, twelve rounds for the IBF title. It's going to be exciting. I'm going to be prepared for everything that he's got. I see a little bit of speed, a little bit of quickness, a little but of power. And I'll be ready for all of that," Porter told BoxingScene.com.
"Its very exciting to headline a card in Brooklyn. And some of the names being thrown at me to be on the undercard, its going to be a tremendous card. I saw Zab Judah earlier this week in the gym and he said he might be on there. I'm told Danny Jacobs will be on there. I'm just excited just to headline it and be the main event that night."Tags: Kell Brook , Shawn Porter , Porter-Brook , Porter vs. Brook
