The IBF has told BoxingScene that the talks between the parties representing Sheffield's Kell Brook and the IBF's Ohio-based titlist Shawn Porter must be concluded by June 10th.  'Both sides requested the purse [bid] be postponed,' stated the governing body.  'The new date is June 10.'

Brook, 32-0 (22), has been waiting for his shot for years, but the 28-year-old may have to travel to secure a crack against the 26-year-old American title-holder.  Porter, 24-0-1 (15), out-pointed Devon Alexander to win the title in December 2013, he defended it via fourth-round TKO over Paulie Malignaggi in April.

Eddie Hearn, Brook's promoter, has mixed things up recently, taking fighters abroad for title shots as well as bring champions in, but the current internal strife over at Golden Boy, as reported earlier today by Rick Reeno, could make things that bit more difficult for both parties.

On the other hand, Oscar De La Hoya may be keen to nail something down to show that the loss of Richard Schaefer isn't as devastating a blow as many suspect it could be.
