According to French sources, former WBA interim middleweight beltholder Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam (26-0, 17KOs) had a good reason for vacating his title instead of fighting WBA regular master Gennady Golovkin. The France-based Cameroonian set his eye on the reigning WBO 160lb titlist Dmitry Pirog (19-0, 14 KOs). Local media reports that the fight is possible for April 6 in Equatorial Guinea, a neighboring country to Cameroon. No official confirmation has been received at this moment.
