REIGNING WBO Asia-Pacific Super Featherweight Champion Czar Amonsot is slated to make another appearance before an American audience, along with his fellow native boxer of Bohol, Along Dinoy - on May 12 at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Amonsot will be having his second fight in the United States in a ten-round contest, while light flyweight fighter Along Dinoy will make his US debut against soon to be determined foes on the same card of American boxing promotion, Guilty Boxing.

Amonsot made his U.S debut a memorial one after posting a unanimous decision win over the very tough and durable Mexican Cristian Favela in his first stint in Las Vegas on February 3 where his stablemate Z Gorres also won in the main event.

The pride of Tagbilaran City has improved his stock to 15-1-1 win-loss-draw with 10 knockouts after earning another decision in a 10-round tune-up fight against Thailand’s Decho Bankluaygym on March 18 at the Mandaue Sports Complex.

Dinoy (10-6, 4 KOs), on the other hand, is fresh from a knockout victory against veteran boxer Jun Eraham on February 3 in Larga Pedrista, Quezon City.

In his first fight in Luzon, Dinoy overwhelmed the Manila-based journeyman Eraham before sending him to the canvas in round 6.

The fights of the Cebu-based prospects under the guidance of Antonio L. Aldeguer (ALA) and Sammy Gello-ani is part of the promotional agreement with Guilty Boxing president Nick Rattena who wants to showcase more talented Filipino boxers in his future promotion.

“Filipino boxers are in demand today in the US. We only heeded their (Guilty Boxing) request of bringing more Filipino boxers to the States since they saw how popular the boys were in their last fights there,” said Gello-ani.

Dinoy and Amonsot are set to leave in the last week of April in preparation for the fights in the US.

The last showdown at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas drew a sold-out crowd that came out of the Mardi Gras Ballroom of the Orleans Casino clamoring for more Filipino fighters.
