Cuban light welterweight Yordenis Ugas (10, 5 KO's) is training hard for his next fight, scheduled to take place on January 13th against Esteban Almaraz (10-4, 4 KO's) at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ugas continued to train through the holidays, sparring for eight rounds with Dominican boxer Ed Paredes at The Heavyweight Factory GYM in Hollywood, Fla. Paredes will fight in Hollywood on January 7th.
Ugas is being trained by former WBO and WBA world champion John David Jackson, and Derik Santos, and he did very well against a hard hitter like Paredes.
