The weights are in for Saturday card in Jalisco, Mexico. In a crowded ceremony, Mexico's Victor "Viking" Terrazas and his challenger Jose Palma, of Colombia, came in at 121.9-pounds. Terrazas (33-2-1, 18 KOs) will defend his WBC silver super bantamweight world title against Palma (15-5-2, 10 KOs) in the main event. The card is promoted by Canelo Promotions, Televisa and Grupo Modelo.
The second pair of fighters also had no problem with the weight. Mexico's Gilberto "Lefty" Ramirez and challenger Jaime "Indio" Barboza, of Costa Rica, came in at 159.8-pounds. Ramirez (20-0, 18 KOs) vs. Barboza (17-6, 8 KOs) is a fight loaded with dynamite, so expect a knockout finish.
Meanwhile, Mexican Jesus "Estrellita" Ruiz and Christian "Italiano" Esquivel, went face to face at the scale, weighed the same, 117.9-pounds. Both will vie for the scepter of North America Boxing Federation (NABF). Ruiz (28-4-4, 21 KOs) and Esquivel (24-3, 18 KOs) will go on third.
