Photos/Weights: Bisbal vs. Daniels, Negron vs. Mireles

SALINAS, PUERTO RICO - The weights are in for Friday's big event, as former Olympians Victor Bisbal and Carlos Negron will be showcased in co-headline bouts as part of the series “A Puño Limpio” to be held at the Angel “Cholo” Espada Coliseum in Salinas, Puerto Rico in a PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) presentation in association with Top Rank to be shown live on WAPA America from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.(ET).

In the main event, hometown favorite Bisbal (19-1, 13 KOs), a former 2004 Olympian, will face veteran Robert Daniels (49-9-1, 41 KOs), a former cruiserweight world champion, in a heavyweight and 8 rounds bout. Bisbal was 238-pounds, while Daniels was 217.

The other TV fight presents 2008 Olympian Negron (13-1, 9 KOs) in his first appearance after his first career defeat, as he faces Francisco Mireles (13-6, 3 KOs) from Mexico. Negron, a 6’6” prospect, surprisingly lost to Epifanio Mendoza by a third round TKO on September, 2011 in a heavyweight bout. He is going back to cruiserweight and stepped on the scale at 208-pounds for this fight. Mireles will weigh in later.

I guess Victor Bisbal is Puerto Rico's Chris Arreola. Damn shame, Bisbal should be around the 208-215 mark for every fight. Good to see Carlos Negron going back down to CW. Even though he weighed in over the CW limit…
