BAYAMON, PUERTO RICO - Former world champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. was confident this afternoon, as he continues training for next Saturday's fight against triple world champion Nonito Donaire, with the vacant WBO super bantamweight title on the line, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. HBO will televise. Photos by Pete Amador/Top Rank. Vazquez Jr. (21-1-1, 18 KOs) had to get weighed by the Puerto Rican commission, which is mandatory one week before the fight. He was 132.6 pounds and the max allowed is 128.1 pounds (5% above 122 pounds).

Vazquez Jr. is going to need all the help he can get but he should be able to get some offense going against Nonito just don't know if he can hold up to what is coming back at him.
If he can he stands a good chance, I favor Nonito but Vazquez is not a slouch and has a lot to prove after the Ar... |

Vasquez is a strong kid. You can't out! But he has fought mainly guys who don't put up much of a resistance. Arce did and battered him from pillar to post. |
