Photos: Tyson Marquez-Rodel Mayol Press Conference

By Rafael Soto

A press conference was held to officially announce the flyweight bout between WBA champion Hernan "Tyson" Marquez, and Filipino challenger Rodel Mayol, which takes place on the 24th of March at CUM in Obregon, Sonora. "Tyson" Marquez (32-2, 25 KOs) vs. Mayol (30-5-2, 22KOs) will be televised by TV Azteca and promoted by Zanfer.

"[2011] was definitely the best year of my career. I became a champion and made two defenses, and if you want to be the best in the world, you have to beat the best and Mayol is the best. He is a strong fighter with experience, ditry in his attacks, but we will be ready and we'll provide a great fight on March 24 at CUM," Marquez said.

Tickets go on sale next week, and online at www.eticket.mx
