Photos: Thurman-Diaz, Matthysse-Molina, More Weigh-In

By CARLOS ARIAS

LOS ANGELES --- Keith "One Time" Thurman is tired of hearing about all of Julio Diaz's experience.

Thurman, 25, knows Diaz, 34, is a 15-year veteran with 50 fights on his record. Thurman said none of that matters when he steps in the ring to defend his WBA welterweight title against Diaz in the main event on Saturday night at StubHub Center in Carson on Showtime.

"That doesn't come into play," Thurman said of Diaz's experience at Friday's weigh-in at the Biltmore Hotel. "I had 100 amateur fights and tons of knockouts there and I knocked many people out off the record. We can talk all day about who's got the most knockouts. The thing is he is going to get knocked out tomorrow night. He couldn't knock out Amir Khan. A knockdown is not a knockout. If he's not well rested for the fight, he's going to get his rest come the fight. I'm ready to do my thing. My motto is 'KOs for Life.' Don't blonk. Show up. I'm going to do my job. I'm looking forward to the fight."

Both fighters had no problem making the 147-pound limit. Thurman weighed 145 1/2 pounds and Diaz checked in at 146 3/4 pounds.

All of the fighters on the card made weight.

The Antonio Orozco-Martin Honorio fight that was scheduled to be televised on Showtime Exreme was scrapped because Honorio had visa issues, according to Showtime officials. Joseph Diaz Jr.'s fight against Luis Maldonado was elevated to the Showtime Extreme portion of the card, which also features Jermall Charlo vs. Hector Munoz.

Here are the weigh-in results:

damn Matthyesse looks like a midget, but seriously Matty is going to knock out Molina, I don't think he is that tough, he's been knocked out already by DeMarco, that too in the first round I think.
