Photos: Sasso vs. Vazquez II Final Press Conference

Certified Public Accountant and law student, the undefeated sensation Edgardo “Sasso” López (6-0-1, 4KO’s) is ready to prove that he won the first fight against Orlando Vázquez (5-1-1, 1KO), which ended on a majority draw this past November.

“I am in great shape and ready for Vázquez. On Saturday, I will not leave any doubts that I will beat him in the middle of the ring”, Sasso stated.

Meanwhile, Orlando Vázquez is confident as well to defeat Sasso clearly: “I know what to do; my speed and jab will be the key to win. This time I had a better training and feel ready to go 8 rounds toe to toe with him”, Vázquez stated.

In other fights, Central American Games 2010 gold medalist Angel Acosta (1-0) will clash against rough Christian López in a 4 round fight in the flyweight division. Also in action unbeaten José “Chiquiro” Martínez (5-0, 3Ko’s) against Eduardo Meléndez.

In addition, the legendary international professional wrestler “Chicano” Carlos Cotto will make his second fight as a pro against Jesús González. Starling Cordero (5-0, 2Ko’s) will face Alexis Díaz and featherweight hard hitting Alberto “El Explosivo” Machado will take on Efrain Salgado in a 4 round fight.

This is our new TV platform that we are developing together with WAPA 2 Deportes and we have no doubt that will be successful”, stated the 4 time world champion and promoter, Miguel Cotto. “This fight of Sasso vs. Vazquez 2 is a really exciting match; the first one in November was electrifying and I am sure the rematch will be even better”, promoter Hector Soto said.

"Boxeo Boricua WAPA 2: SASSO VS. VÁZQUEZ II” is an eight-round fight in the super featherweight division and is promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions and H2 Entertainment. Telecast will begin at 8:00ET and it will be live on WAPA 2 Deportes and WAPA América, and will also be available on www.wapa.tv
