Photos: Santa Cruz, Caballero, Ramos Jr. Make Weight

LOS ANGELES – Fight fans will get a sizzling preview of Golden Boy Promotions’ hottest summer yet on Friday, June 3 at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif. in a fight card stacked with Southern California talent.  In the TeleFutura “Sólo Boxeo Tecate” televised main event, Lincoln Heights’ unbeaten rising star Leo “Terremoto” Santa Cruz (15-0-1, 7 KO’s) looks to keep his “0” intact against former World Champion Jose “Carita” Lopez (39-9-2, 32 KO’s) of Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico in an eight round bantamweight fight.

The televised co-feature pits another undefeated prospect, Santa Ana junior welterweight Luis Ramos Jr. (18-0, 8 KO’s) against former WBC Interim World Champion Francisco “El Ahogado” Lorenzo (36-9, 16 KO’s) in a compelling eight round battle.

Plus, Coachella Valley fan-favorite Randy Caballero (10-0, 6 KO’s) makes his sixth appearance at Fantasy Springs and expects to bring his loyal fans to their feet cheering once again when he squares off in a six round junior featherweight match against Chicago’s Sergio Cristobal (3-1).

In undercard action, Coachella will also be represented by unbeaten junior welterweight Jose Vargas (5-0-2) who will meet Phoenix, Arizona’s Javier Loya (4-0, 3 KO’s) in a six round contest.

Debuting super middleweights collide in a four round fight when Mexicali’s Jose Gonzalez faces Los Angeles’ Drew Alexander. 

Opening the night of fistic action will be four round junior lightweight fight featuring San Bernardino’s Juan Sandoval (3-6-1, 2 KO’s) who takes on Pomona’s Rene Torres (0-4-1).

This night of world-class professional boxing is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and is sponsored by Cerveza Tecate and AT&T. Doors open at 6:00pm and the first bell rings at 7:00pm PT. The TeleFutura broadcast begins at 11:30pm ET / PT (10:30pm CT).

Fans at home can also be part of the action by participating in Cinturón Tecate and voting for the fighter in the main event who displayed the most character in the ring by sending a text message to 55333. Voting will be open through the end of the weekend.
