Dorado, Puerto Rico - The WBC junior world champion at 130 pounds, Jose "Sniper" Pedraza (6-0, 5KO's), and the former WBO world champion at 130 pounds, Roman "Rocky" Martinez (25-1-1, 16KO's), took part in several high-level sparring sessions as they prepare for their upcoming fights. So far these two fighters have sparred over 70 rounds.

"To spar with someone who has much experience helps me improve. I am very grateful for his help," said Pedraza, born in Cidra.

Pedraza battles Jose Valderrama (4-1, 3KO's) next Friday, February 24, in Ponce, PR.

"Pedraza is a tremendous fighter and a future world champion. Sparring with him is good for me, and with a possible future fight with [Yuriorkis] Gamboa I should get used to that kind of fighter who has a lot of lateral movement," said Martinez.
