At the Plaza San Diego in Puebla, Mexico, Román “Chocolatito” González (28-0, 23 KOs) retained the WBA junior flyweight title with a twelve round unanimous decision over former WBO-interim champion Manuel “Chango” Vargas (29-8-1, 14 KOs). The scores were 116-112, 116-112 and 119-109.
Lightweight Ricardo Domínguez (33-7-2, 20 KOs) won a split decision over Luis Arceo (23-11-3, 15 KOs). Arceo went down in round three.
well he dominated the whole fight it seemed like chango could have gotten hit with a bat and he would not have went down. i still think gonzalez rules the 108 lb division eventually.Comment by Maymoney on 03-20-2011
Segura (the king) would destroy Gonzalez.Comment by lopez36 on 03-20-2011
wasn't that impressed with roman, seems his power is overrated and he couldn't finish a guy thats really not that great,i was hoping for a fight with segura, but now i'm not that interested in it,roman isn't all that and i would…Comment by Suavecito80 on 03-20-2011
