Photos: Roman Gonzalez Turns Back Vargas in Mexico

At the Plaza San Diego in Puebla, Mexico, Román “Chocolatito” González (28-0, 23 KOs) retained the WBA junior flyweight title with a twelve round unanimous decision over former WBO-interim champion Manuel “Chango” Vargas (29-8-1, 14 KOs). The scores were 116-112, 116-112 and 119-109.

Lightweight Ricardo Domínguez (33-7-2, 20 KOs) won a split decision over Luis Arceo (23-11-3, 15 KOs). Arceo went down in round three.

well he dominated the whole fight it seemed like chango could have gotten hit with a bat and he would not have went down. i still think gonzalez rules the 108 lb division eventually.

Good win for Roman. He busted chango in the grill all night long. scorecards should have been wider but whatever. GOOD **** ROMAN!! :boxing::boxing:
