Photos: Rodriguez-Takayama Unification Announced

A press conference was held to officially announce a highly anticipated unification between WBO 105-pound champion Francisco Rodriguez Jr. (14-2, 10KOs) of Mexico and WBO champion Katsunari Takayama (27-6, 10KOs). The fight will take place at the WBO champ's backyard on August 9th in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Televised by Azteca TV, the card will be promoted by Zanfer Promotions and sponsored by Tecate. Also on the show, the return of former champion Tomas Rojas, who continues to move forward with his request to capture another world title.
