| Photos: Richard Abril, Rigondeaux Receive Their WBA Belts

By Reynaldo Sanchez Miami, Florida - On Thursday, the current World Boxing Association super bantamweight world champion, Guillermo “The Jackal” Rigondeaux officially received his championship belt from WBA president Gilberto Mendoza. The "Jackal" was present at the Hotel Marriot de Dadeland in the South of Florida. 
Rigondeaux was accompanied by his physical conditioner DJ Montanocordoba and Ramón Garbey. 
“I am grateful to get my title, we are here and we'll keep on working to get to the top,” Rigondeaux said. 
Also, Cuban boxer Richard Abril was present. Abril is coming off a controversial decision in his last fight against Brandon Rios. The Cuban fighter received the interim-world title at 135 pounds. 
Abril was accompanied by his promoter Carlos Rodríguez, who along with Abril -expressed their satisfaction with the resolution of the WBA - who gave Abril the interim-championship at 135-pounds.

Why not? Rios was spoonfed when he was given a win that was hugely undeserving. The simple fact is that he (Abril) did win the fight, but Rios got spoonfed a w... |

ok hes getting spoon fed because there giving him his interim belt that was his before the fight and still belonged to him after rios didn't make weight?! on top ... |
