Photos: Quintana vs Estella Final Press Conference

PONCE, PUERTO RICO - This coming Friday, February 18, Universal Boxing Promotions presents their next event, starting at 6:00PM, at the Auditorio Juan "Pachin" Vicens in Ponce. The main event of the night, the former WBO world champion at 147 pounds, Carlos Quintana (27-3, 21 KO's), who is regarded as one of the most seasoned fighters in the history of Puerto Rico, faces a recognizable opponent,, Dominican Yoryi Estrella (10-4-2, 7KO's).

"I feel stronger than ever and I'll show the people of Puerto Rico that I am a force at 154 pounds. I am determined to return to become one of the best fighters in the world, "said Quintana, who is promoted in a partnership by Universal Promotions and DiBella Entertainment.

In the co-feature, WBA regional champion at 135 pounds Fernando Torres (16-1, 9KO's) will see action as he tries to avenge his only defeat Carlos Claudio. This also will be a WBA unification fight as both Torres (Fedecaribe champion of the WBA) and Claudio (the WBA champion Fedecentro) present their titles.

"I am ready to offer the best fight of my life with Claudio and prove to Puerto Rico I'm the best 135 pounder right now," added Torres. "I'm going to knock him out in a round."

In addition, this card will feature 140-pound prospect, Puerto Rican-French boxer Thomas "the French" Dulorme (8-0, 7KO's), going up against Jorge Delgado (8-4-0, 2KO's).

This card will also have a special touch with the professional debut of the most decorated fighter in the last Olympic cycle: José Pedraza. During the past Olympic cycle, he campaigned at 132 lbs. He captured bronze at the Pan American Games in Brazil in 2007, won a silver medal at Milan's 2009 championship and a gold medal in the Mayaguez 2010 Central American Games.

"I look forward to debut before my people and show my talents as a professional boxer," said Jose Pedraza, who is promoted in a partnership between Universal Promotions, Gary Shaw Productions and DiBella Entertainment.

EL INDIO is good at 154,i told this so far(since the fight vs FELICIANO);i really hope to see him in a fight with a big name in this division very soon;QUINTANA vs MARTIROSYAN can be good in my opinion!!!
