Photos: Omar Chavez, Jorge Paez Jr. Win in Mexicali

By Rafael Soto

At the Foro Promocasa in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, welterweight Omar “Businessman” Chavez (27-0-1, 20 KOs) stopped Alberto Martínez (15-2, 10 KOs) in the first round. Chavez is now going to face the winner of the co-feature, Jorge Paez Jr., likely in November.

Welterweight Jorge “Maromerito” Paez Jr. (29-4-1, 18 KOs) knocked out Rodrigo Juarez (15-14-1, 11 KOs) in the third round.

[QUOTE=chiguy91;11080629]wtf is up with alberto martinez's head in the first pic? doesn't look messed up like that in the second pic, unless the second pic is before that, which means chavez did some serious damage in 1 round. and damn!…

His mouth guard came off in the first pic, I thought the same initially but then noticed he's wearing a red mouth guard.
