Photos: Omar Chavez and Jorge Paez Jr. Final Presser

By Rafael Soto

MEXICALI, BC - Omar 'Businessman' Chavez is confident that this coming Saturday, at the "Legacy of Legends" event, he will defeat Alberto Martinez (15-1, 10KOs) in a ten round welterweight clash. Chavez (26-0-1, 19 KOs) will headline the card at Forum PromoCasa, with Jorge "Maromerito" Paez Jr. facing Rodrigo Juarez in the TV Azteca televised co-feature. If both Chavez and Paez win their bouts, they will likely fight each other in November.

"We are very pleased with what we've achieved in this preparation and I'm ready to show how much I've learned as a fighter. I've matured as a person, and certainly what I've done is good, but now its time to make the leap," Chavez said.

On a possible fight with Paez Jr., Chavez said - "If Zanfer offers me the fight and we reach an agreement, I think it would be interesting to fight with Paez and people would like to see that, but first I must get past my opponent on Saturday and then wait for Zanfer's proposal.
