Anthony Mundine has baited Daniel Geale by blowing bubbles in the face of the world champion before Wednesday night's blockbuster bout in Sydney.

Chewing on pink bubble gum, Mundine blew a bubble in Geale's face after both fighters came in under the required weight for the IBF middleweight title bout.

Mundine was first onto the stage and weighed in at 71.95kg [158.6], with a slightly heavier Geale cutting it a tad fine at 72.5kg [159.8]. The weight limit is set at 72.6kg [160].

Mundine had some words for Geale as both posed for the cameras and The Man showed all of his usual bravado in front of the crowd.

However, it was a tame performance by Mundine compared to the wild antics at Monday's pre-fight press conference.

Mundine was at his headline-grabbing best on Monday, having a heated exchange with a journalist and berating those who question his sporting legacy.

Geale, well used to the Mundine show, seemed to take all of his combatant's showmanship in his stride 24 hours out from the big fight.

Although he admitted Mundine's barbs, including questioning Geale's Aboriginal heritage, had crept under his skin a little.

"There has been a couple of times I started to get angry but I take it all in my stride," Geale said.

"He wants me to get upset and I understand that."
