Photos: Mike Perez and Jeffrey Fontanez Final Presser

Prospects Mike "The Artist" Pérez (15-1-1, 9KO's) and Jeffrey Fontánez (7-0, 6KO's) said they are ready and prepared for their respective matches this coming Saturday, June 30th on "Boxeo Boricua in Caguas: Fast & Strong” at the Roger Mendoza Coliseum in Caguas.

"The Artist" Pérez seeks get back to his winning ways after suffering his first loss as a professional in January to Omar Figueroa. The Puerto Rican based in New Jersey will face hard puncher Eric Cruz (16-9-3, 16 KOs) in a 10 round bout in the lightweight division.

"I feel good and motivated for this fight. We worked hard and I am ready to go big and show what I have. I am fully recovered from the defeat and it is time to seek new opportunities," stated Mike Pérez.

While in the co-feature attraction, undefeated top prospect Jeffrey Fontánez will headline a 6 round fight in the super featherweight division against experienced Pedro Hernández (6-5-1, 2KO's).

"I am very happy with this great opportunity that my company gave me, to fight again in my home and to be the co-feature in this event. We trained very hard. I feel ready for the challenge to go big this Saturday night in Caguas," Jeffrey stated.

As part of this great event, undefeated bantamweight Jonathan Vidal (15-0, 8KO’s) will face Angel Cruz (6-1-1, 4KO's) in a thrilling 8 round battle. Also crowd pleasing Edgardo "Sasso" Lopez will face veteran Jesse Padilla in the lightweight division, while undefeated prospect Eddie Gómez (8-0, 6 KO's) will face Joseph De Los Santos (11-8-3, 4 Ko's) in an 8 round clash. Also in action are Samuel Figueroa vs. Orlando Falcón and Kevin Nieves, who will make his professional debut. 

Boxeo Boricua in Caguas: Fast & Strong at the Roger Mendoza Coliseum in Caguas  will be part of the famous TV series "Solo Boxeo: Tecate" which will be transmitted through Univision Sports in a promotion by Miguel Cotto Promotions,and H2 Entertainment, in association with Golden Boy Promotions. Awww Man, I thought this was about the Irish Rebel Cuban Heavyweight Mike Perez. Why hasn't he fought this year?
