Guadalajara, Jalisco - Miguel Vazquez and Ameth Diaz went face to face at the final press conference to announce their battle on Saturday night. Vazquez (29-3-0, 13 KOs) will make the third defense of his International Boxing Federation (IBF) lightweight championship against the official challenger, Panamanian Ameth Diaz (30-10-0, 21 KOs), at the Olympic Coliseum at the University of Guadalajara, which is going to be promoted by Zanfer Promotions and broadcast by TV Azteca.

"Since my promoter told me that my defense would be against Diaz and in Guadalajara, I felt very happy and motivated. I've always dreamed about this, since to defend my title in Guadalajara and thank God it will be fulfilled. I will win no matter what the cost, "said Vazquez.
