Eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao was side by side with Philippine presidential candidate Jejomar Binay, who is leader of the opposition and current Philippine vice president, and with vice-presidential candidate Senator Gringo Honasan.

Pacquiao took a break from training to attend their party's proclamation rally in Manila. The Filipino star is a senatorial candidate and plans to retire from the sport to pursue a full-time career in politics.

The next scheduled bout for Pacquiao is a trilogy showdown with former two-division world champion Timothy Bradley on April 9th from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Bradley won a controversial twelve round split decision in their first meeting in 2012. Pacquaio won a clear cut twelve round decision in the 2014 rematch. The difference maker in the third meeting is Bradley hiring Teddy Atlas to run his corner after parting ways with career trainer Joel Diaz.

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach is set to start camp with Pacquiao. Roach is bringing along unbeaten prospects Frankie Gomez and Jose Ramirez for sparring.
